Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, “Marubeni”), Marubeni Forest LinX Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Marubeni Forest LinX”), Marubeni Paper Recycle Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Marubeni Paper Recycle”), and Koa Kogyo Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Koa Kogyo”) will provide FANCL CORPORATION (hereinafter, “FANCL”) with a circular economy model*1 that collects and recycles used corrugated containers generated by FANCL distribution centers.

This initiative focuses on recycling 100% recycled paper, which is produced from corrugated containers discharged at FANCL distribution centers, into paper bags.
The four companies of the Marubeni Group have been managing everything from collecting used corrugated containers, supplying raw materials, producing recycled paper, and arranging for paper bag manufacturers within the group. The recycled paper bags will be used at all FANCL directly-managed stores and for mail orders from April 1, 2023.

The four companies of the Marubeni Group will continue to encourage consumer interest in a recycling-oriented society and contribute to its realization by promoting efforts to recycle various types of used paper into familiar paper products through leveraging the collective strengths of the group.
