Mar. 29. 2021
Marubeni Corporation
Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, "Marubeni") opened its Hokuriku Branch in Toyama City in January 2021 with business operations beginning there in March.
The Hokuriku region is strong in manufacturing and boasts abundant natural energy resources. Since the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line to Kanazawa, the needs of the commercial and tourism industries are increasing. The planned extension of the line to Tsuruga will further improve access to and from the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Kansai region, expanding the market for future business opportunities in the Hokuriku region.
Marubeni closed its office in the Hokuriku region in 2006, but since then, each of the 15 group companies with offices in the region have been steadily growing in industries such as energy, electric power, metals, ICT, food, and chemicals.
Recently, Marubeni has been reinforcing its operations in the domestic market. As such, the company has reopened the branch in the Hokuriku region, which is expected to see future growth.
Through the Hokuriku Branch, Marubeni will strive to gather local business information and needs, utilize its vast domestic and international network as a general trading company, and strengthen cooperation among the Marubeni Group companies in the region. We will contribute to the further development of the Hokuriku region by providing useful services and developing new businesses.
