The Marubeni/One Piece ad series, featuring one of Japan’s most beloved adventure stories One Piece, has been unveiling exciting new developments since June 2022. The latest entry in this series, a television commercial, launched on August 14 across Japan and is also viewable online.

Themed around the tagline “Together, we can go further,” the commercial tells the story of a young girl who loves One Piece growing up into an inspired young woman working together with many others around the world.  

As further shown by the commercial, the ad series connects the world of One Piece with Marubeni’s vision for the future, the Global crossvalue platform. Under this platform, Marubeni will continue to work in tandem with our stakeholders to deliver solutions and create new values that make the world a better place.

3. Story:
A young girl spends her childhood loving the animated show One Piece, eagerly watching a motley crew of friends go on adventures around a fantasy world. Now, all grown up, she works at the trading company Marubeni, striving to solve the challenges facing her own world together with colleagues from across the globe. Inspired in her work by her childhood love of One Piece, she imagines a conversation with the show’s main character, Luffy. When she tells him, “What we can’t do alone, we can do together,” she could never imagine what happens next…!
