Marubeni India Private Limited (Headquarters: New Delhi, India; Chairman and Managing Director: Atsushi Suzuki), an overseas subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, “Marubeni”) will establish a new office in Bengaluru, India on April 1, 2021.

Bengaluru, the capital city of the southern Indian state of Karnataka, is known as one of the world's largest clusters of global IT companies, venture capital funds, and high-level IT personnel, with a well-developed ecosystem for startup companies.

Since establishing its first office in Kolkata, India in 1918, Marubeni has been trading in commodities such as textiles, steel raw materials and non-ferrous metal from India for more than 100 years, and also invests in the country’s energy, power, and real estate sectors. The Bengaluru office aims to accelerate the digital transformation of the Marubeni Group and create new businesses through collaboration with start-ups and global IT companies.
