Akita Offshore Wind Corporation, a Marubeni Group company, has received the New Energy Foundation Chairperson’s Award (Regional Symbiosis) at the New Energy Awards 2023 (hereinafter, the “Awards System”), for the Offshore Wind Farm Project at Akita Port and Noshiro Port (hereinafter, the “Offshore Wind Farm Project”).

The Awards System was established by the New Energy Foundation to further encourage and expedite the expansion of new energy and to commend outstanding initiatives or projects in various products or activities fields relating to new energy.

The Offshore Wind Farm Project was commended in recognition of the high evaluation of the project undertaken in collaboration with the local community and for its contributions to regional symbiosis through prioritized procurement from local companies and the utilization of local human resources.
