Marubeni donated 10 million yen in relief aid for the Noto Peninsula earthquake, which occurred in January 2024. In May 2024, ongoing volunteering placements of Marubeni Group executive officers and employees—using the Hokuriku Branch as the base for activities—also commenced, with these volunteers taking part in initiatives towards the recovery and restoration of the disaster area.

Sponsor of the “Iwaki Sunshine Marathon”
Marubeni supports the recovery efforts of Iwaki City in Fukushima Prefecture, where we also have close business ties. The company has been a sponsor of the “Iwaki Sunshine Marathon” since the 6th time this event was held.
A total of 40 Marubeni Group employees participated in the 15th Iwaki Sunshine Marathon held in 2024 - 20 as volunteers and 20 as runners. Through this sponsorship, we aim to contribute to regional development in Fukushima Prefecture.
