Marubeni Corporation (“Marubeni”) was awarded the Golden Order of Merit from the Japanese Red Cross Society at the 52nd National Awards Ceremony for the Promotion of Blood Donation, which Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess attended on July 7 at Meiji Jingu Kaikan. The Golden Order of Merit is awarded to companies that have consistently supported blood drive efforts for 20 years or more.

 

Marubeni holds a daylong blood drive twice each year, with appropriately 200 participants annually. It is a great honor to receive this Golden Order of Merit, as recognition of our many years of efforts to promote blood donation. Marubeni will continue to promote this program and other initiatives that aim for the betterment of society.
