Marubeni Corporation (“Marubeni”) has agreed to accept the third party allocation of shares by ASICS Asia PTE. LTD. (“AAP”), a 100% owned subsidiary of ASICS Corporation (“ASICS”), and become a 35% shareholder.

AAP has placed its sales and marketing headquarters for Southeast and South Asia in Raffles Place, the central business district of Singapore. AAP will accelerate its sales expansion within these territories by utilizing Marubeni’s knowledge for gaining a foothold in emerging economies, and establish local subsidiaries as well as expand its own managed point of sales to create an optimal sales network for the brand.
