Creekstone Farms Premium Beef LLC (hereinafter, "Creekstone"), a company that produces, processes and delivers high-added value Black Angus beef, and in which Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, "Marubeni") has an equity stake, was recognized as the winner of the 2020 Kansas Exporter of the Year Award, the top export business award presented by the state.

Creekstone has the capability to stably source high-quality Black Angus beef, including natural (e.g., non-hormone treated, antibiotic-free) cattle. While COVID-19 has created a number of challenges for exporting, from trade show cancellations to travel restrictions and more, Creekstone has been able to continue supplying its beef to restaurants and stores across the United States by promptly implementing Infection Prevention Measures.

Kansas Exporter of the Year is awarded to the export business that has been exceptionally successful and has had a significant impact on the surrounding community. Creekstone was selected from five finalists to receive this year’s award. At the virtual award ceremony on November 19th, 2020, Ms. Laura Kelly, Governor of Kansas, had the following to say, “Creekstone Farms is an impressive Kansas company, whose beef can be found in nearly every corner of the world.”
